As the music fades on another Campus Consciousness Tour (CCT), we’ve got the scoop on all things Music Project-related. More than 38,000 students came out to see J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. and Pete Kilpatrick bring down the house at 18 colleges this spring. Each artist committed to the Brita® FilterForGood® Music Project by joining up with Reverb’s Campus Consciousness Tour which eliminates single-use plastic bottles from all of their tours. To keep artists and students hydrated, we set up Brita® Hydration Stations and refill areas for artists and concertgoers. As a result, more than 4,200 plastic bottles were saved from landfills.
We talked to several students who are committed to reducing their impact on the environment–and enjoying doing so. As one student shared, "One of the things that I do for the environment that also helps me save money...is keeping a reusable bottle with me at all times." We also talked to many students who are committed to reducing bottled water waste in their own lives. All in all, more than 5,500 FilterForGood® pledges were collected from students on the tour.
