You recently may have read some news reports regarding pharmaceutical compounds being detected in municipal drinking water.
Brita test results show reduction of pharmaceutical compounds that may be found in tap water. Brita® pitcher filters can remove 96.7% of pharmaceuticals.*
It is important to note that there currently is no formal test protocol for claim certification through third-party organizations such as NSF International or the WQA (Water Quality Association).
*Based on manufacturer testing for reduction levels of five pharmaceuticals (Acetaminophen - Pain Reliever, Carbamazepine - Seizure Control, Estradiol - Hormone Therapy, Naproxen - Pain Reliever, Progesterone - Hormone Therapy). Pharmaceuticals may not be in all users' water.
