Refreshing water starts with fresh filters.

Brita® filters are the powerhouses behind your better tasting water. Stay rejuvenated with new filters.
Remember: Replace your filter regularly to maintain its effectiveness.

Topics:

Getting started with your Brita® Pitcher and all of its features couldn’t be easier. Just a few simple steps and you’re on your way to enjoying healthier, great-tasting water.

One Brita® pitcher filter can effectively replace as much as 300 standard 16.9-ounce bottles.

Inserting your Brita® Filter (All Pitchers):

  • Wash your hands with soap and water, and then remove filter from filter bag.
  • Soak the filter upright in cold water for 15 minutes.
  • Hand wash your pitcher/dispenser, lid and reservoir with mild detergent.
  • After soaking, rinse the filter under cold, running tap water for a few seconds.
  • Insert into the reservoir by lining up the groove in the filter with the notch in the reservoir. Press firmly to ensure tight seal.
  • Discard first two pitchers of filtered water (or first dispenser for UltraMax).

Electronic Filter Change Indicator (Smart Pitchers):

If you’ve purchased one of our Brita® Smart Pitchers, the electronic indicator will tell you when to change your filter. To get the indicator light working, follow these easy steps:

  • Press firmly and hold start button for 5-10 seconds.
  • Four bars will appear, one after the other, and flash. Do not release the start button until the 4 bars appear and start to flash.
  • If you have difficulty pressing the start button, a capped ballpoint pen may be used to press the button down.
  • A small flashing dot in the lower right corner shows the indicator is working.
  • When only 1 bar remains make sure you have a new filter on hand.
  • When all bars have disappeared, an arrow will flash at the top of the display reminding you to change your filter.

Space Saver with Calendar Minder® feature:

The Calendar Minder® is a simple dial calendar with the month and date to remind you when to replace your filter. Use it to make remembering easier.

TIP: Set the filter indicator to the closest date two months from installing a new filter.

Installing your Brita® Faucet Filtration System (MODEL OPFF-100) or Brita® Faucet Filtration System with Advanced Features (MODEL FF-100)
