Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I have tried two kinds of Brita filters: the one you put on the faucet and the pitcher. I couldn't use the faucet one anymore because the faucet wasn't sturdy enough. I tried the pitcher. It was wonderful. Until I started to get the carbon flakes with my second filter and the water tasted funny. I told Brita and they sent me a complementary advanced filter. It is great so far! No more carbon flakes in the water or the reservoir and the water tastes amazing! At first I was worried because the water came out a charcoal gray, but after dumping the first load, it was clear. I flushed it twice more just to be certain. I would recommend this pitcher.

I just purchased a new box of filters at Bed Bath and Beyond and noticed the filter was redesigned... which, in itself, is probably a good thing right? not really. yes, the water goes through the filter very fast, which is a perk, but it's not a perk if it doesn't do a good job filtering the water! the water tastes more metallic than before and i feel like i'm just drinking tap water. i'm not happy with this redesign at all and want the old filters back - otherwise, I will need to look for another product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Filter Will not fit. I Have a Brita pitcher. The original filter worked fine. I changed the filter a week ago, with the spare that came with the pitcher, and it fit as designed. But, yesterday, when pouring water, the filter came loose. Now, when I align it properly and place it in the reservoir, it will not lock down. When I push, it feels spongy and raises up in the holder. I have tried all alignments. I feel the filter is bad. Fortunately, I have another eight filters recently purchased from Sam's Club. The first one of these fits well. I may have had a bad replacement filter. Hope this one stays put.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from new & improved design = reduced effectiveness The new design is more convenient because of the easy to grasp top which makes it easier to change. the water flows much faster through the filter as well, which is nice from a convenience standpoint, but terrible from a water filtration standpoint. The result is water that tastes like slightly improved tap water. So I'll be returning these and I think I'll switch to a large tank filtration system with a mineralizer. Thanks Brita for being the catalyst in this change. Sorry I won't be one of your customers anymore. Bad design...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit pitcher This new filter does NOT FIT my pitcher. It is not an old pitcher, Brita still sells them, and yet when go to replace the filter it does not fit in the slot and the water runs down the space around the bottom of the filter without filtering it. Extremely frustrating. I want to complain for my money back but I don't know who to contact. I don't understand why it does not fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Filter doesn't fit I do love the Brita, but just bought the new filters and they don't fit in the slots. At first I couldn't figure out why it kept telling me to change the filter, then I saw that it wasn't all the way in. I have pushed and tried all angles but it is just a little off. I'm hoping they take the filters back at Target. Thank you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from New Filter Design This new filter design does not fit the pitcher that we are using. We even bought a new pitcher and it did not fit. I love having my pitcher to filter water with but now I have 3 filters that don't fit. Good idea but should have tested the insertion of it better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from persistant charcoal particiles After many fill-ups I am still seeing alot of charcoal particiles in the white bowl. Is the filter defective or should I expect this indefinitly?
