Rated 2 out of 5 by from Breaks easily I bought this water bottle three days ago. The day I purchased this item it slipped from my hands, and fell about 2 feet onto a carpeted surface. The lid completely broke off and although I was able to fasten it back on, every time I lift the straw to take a sip, the lid pops off. I am more than a little disappointed that this fairly expensive bottle broke so easily. I was excited to use a bottle that would filter the water I was forced to drink on campus, but it's difficult to drink from a product that breaks every time I attempt to use it. I love the idea of the product, but the durability could use some work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great but leaks all over I purchased it for a trip to Ireland but it spilled more water then it was worth to take it on hikes. I believe the lid part is where it is leaking. If I could get it fixed i think i would rate it a 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the idea but... I love this idea and it has helped a lot with my drinking habit but it just leaks a ton. I've tighten the filter but still doesn't stop the issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective We bought two of these a couple months ago to replace buying water bottles. One day we got our bottles mixed up and I started drinking from his and asked why his bottle was so hard to drink from and he said it's been like that since he bought it. Reading other reviews it seems like it's the straw that is broken..but since we don't have our receipt we can't take it back and now we have to shell out another 21+ bucks to buy another bottle to replace his. Not happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thought I was an Engineer, but..broke again I bought this water bottle around November and it has not left my side. I am a college student, and the water in my dorm tastes like chemicals from the city water. The Brita water bottle changed that. I take it everywhere I go-gym, class, car, dorm... everywhere. I have even gotten in more water for my body as I have before knowing that the water is clean. I loved this water bottle so much. When I dropped it on my carpeted floor, the lid broke. I tried to fix it, and it ended but working, but with a leak that I had to be very careful of. I was once again in love, but I was worried at the same time. Again I dropped it in my dorm and the lid broke again. I tried to fix it, but I could only do so much. I used duct tape to hold back the water from escaping I loved this bottle so much. Another time I accidentally dropped it and once again pieces flew everywhere. I was so upset and ended up trying to use super glue to glue the pieces back on for at least 45 minutes. Again I dropped it, and this time it was the last. I sat for at least 45 minutes AGAIN trying to fix it, but pieces were everywhere and it was a lost cause. I dearly loved this bottle as I did not get chemicals inside my body, and I got so many compliments on it. I now use a coffee mug. I am so sad as now I have to leave my dorm and go to campus to get clean water- which I do everyday. Upset to say the least. I would recommend, but with caution as the lid very well will break. I used to drink a lot, but now I do sparingly as I do not want to waste good water. I miss my clean water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very fragile! When I bought my bottle a month ago, and everything seemed to be fine. However, a month later, my bottle began to leak, even when I thought the top was secured tightly. When it was in my bag, it would leak and mess up the contents of my bag. I had also bought one for my mother. She had it for three days before she discovered that a piece of the bottle top had broken off simply from being in her work bag. It was very disheartening as that was the second bottle that I had bought for my mother. I was hopeful for this product since having a bottle that filters water is so convenient but the fragility of the bottle is not worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks a ton, top breaks easily, no top protector I love this water bottle, but I have also never been so frustrated with one. It makes me very sad, because the taste is phenomenal and I hate the taste of tap water. However, the filter is incredibly temperamental. If I leave it in the heat, all the water leaks out of the straw somehow, even if it's closed. It also leaks if it tips over, often all over my backpack (where my laptop is, so that makes me nervous). I have spent my money on two of these things, because I assumed the first one was defective. I even sent in a complaint to Brita about it. They refunded me so I could buy a new one, which was very nice. However, I had the same issues all over again. It leaks everywhere and it is so annoying that I've stopped using it. The size and filter rock though. It makes me sad that I can't enjoy them much.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love hate relationship I own this exact style of bottle and I love the simplicity of it in the fact that it's a filtered bottle, what I hate about it is that it leaks all the time even when it's right side up that needs to be addressed to make this an even better bottle. It leaks out of the sides of the cap I filled it up and didn't drink from it when I come back to it it's not as full as when I filled it up. The water is britta great tasting and it's easy to carry around I just wish it would stop leaking all over me and my car.
