Rated 3 out of 5 by from Your reminder service is primitive I wanted to set up reminders for filter replacement. Your system asks for the capacity of my pitcher. It should offer a search tool to find that, because this fact is not something I just know. After looking it up separately, your system assumed that I changed the filter today and provided no way to change the installation date. So basically, I have to wait until the next time I change a filter to use the system. Not particularly helpful!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New filter design flawed Brita, stop giving advice on how to line up the notches and press down firmly, your engineers have a problem with the new filter design. In order for the filter to work properly it should be liquid full or close to that. The new filter has a mesh on top designed to retain the adsorbent particles, but it also traps more air inside adsorbent bed than in the old filter. Air enters the filter when pitcher stays half full which is very common situation. When the pitcher is refilled, water comes from the top and air has nowhere to go. Not only this reduces the capacity of the filter, the filter also becomes lighter and pops out of the seat. I hope you guys understand the problem and will solve it ASAP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two-Tone Pitcher (Teal & Clear) - Do not buy I am not sure if the 2-tone pitchers are still being made but I see them on shelves. - I bought one & the color plastic overlay allows MOLD to grow in between the color & clear plastics. I use spray on bleach to kill it but don't care for this added maintenance along w/ seeing the mold, especially under the handle. - This pitcher is also heavy and a bit bulky for my arthritis. - Must make sure to place in refrigerator area that will not crack refridge's plastic shelves. - I am online now looking for a new pitcher. - I wish I could return this pitcher to Brita but it is a year old now and they will not refund for design flaw causing mold to grow.

How to Change the Filter on Your Brita Everyday Pitcher

Step 1

Remove old filter with easy-grip handle, then flush the new Brita filter with cold water for 15 seconds.

Step 2

Insert the Brita filter into the reservoir, lining up the notch in the Brita pitcher with the groove in the filter.

Step 3

Press firmly to ensure a tight seal. After changing the filter, fill the reservoir with cold tap water, and either discard the first three pitchers or use them to water plants.
