Mine is green!
I purchased my first Brita filter pitcher several years ago after learning that the other brand of water filter pitcher that I was using uses "bone char" in their filters. Bone char is made from animal bones and that isn't something that I am interested in supporting financially.
I did some research and found that Brita uses coconut shells instead of bones and that is something that I can support.
I believe the Pacifica was my second purchase of a Brita pitcher. I picked it because of the green color of the piece that holds the filter. I cannot drink tap water after drinking my Brita filtered water. The Brita water tastes so much better than the water straight from my tap. A cleaner taste.
The water reservoir is very large in this pitcher so I feel like I don't have to fill it as often as some of the others that I have used.

clean water clean life
We have been using the Pacifica pitcher filtration system for just a little less than a year and I have peace of mind about my the purity of the water my family drinks. The savings of not having to buy (expense) and having to haul/ transport "bottled water" (saves my personal time /convenience) paid for the pitcher system and the replacement filters. Good for the environment and recycle program is great.

Cheaper than PUR
Just bought this last week. I had an old Brita pitcher that it's indicator didn't work anymore and some parts broke. Felt like getting a new one. Cons: Easy to set up and use! Easy to clean. Pros: I was not able to get a colored one as my store only had clear. Water stains are permanent on the pitcher. Battery cannot be changed. Once it dies, it dies like my old one which is a shame because you spend so much on one and then not get the indicator to work after awhile.

Great features - improvements made.
I had a previous pitcher and this is an improvement - however, the way you fill the pitcher has a few things to get used to. The old ones, you could tell exactly how much water was in the holding area where this one you can't.
